The Holy Ghost

Carlee was helping me bath the kids the other night which she does a lot for me.  She had gotten them undressed and was starting the water.  She was going to plug the tub and let it feel up with water when she felt a really warm feeling in her body and the thought came that she shouldn't feel up the tub, so she didn't.  Then during the bath Graham got mad and throw himself back all the way.  Had the tub been full of water he would have went under all the way.  She knew it was the Holy Ghost who warned her.  She was so happy to followed the prompting.

As a mother it was so special to see her face light up and feel the love of our Heavenly Father in her life.  Carlee is such a sweet and special young lady.  I know that she will live her life in a way that she will be worthy of the Spirit in her life.  She has a love for people like her Heavenly Father does.  I love you Carlee and am so proud of the good person you choose to be!

Easter Cookies

I found this idea on one of my Favorite Blogs and thought I would share. We will be making These Cookies Saturday night.  I just love Easter and what it means to me and my family.  I can think of no greater blessing then to be able to be with my Family Forever in the presence of our Heavenly Father. Without Christ's atonement and resurrection that would not be possible.  To know that there is someone else who has felt everything I am going through in this life is a blessing beyond measure.  I am so grateful for my knowledge of the plan of salvation and what Christ has done for each one of us. Having children at home there are so many things you can do to teach the meaning of Easter.

What is a favorite tradition in your family??

Happy Easter to you and your family!

Mini Triathlon

The girls have been "training" for this event for the past couple months.  They both were pretty excited to participate in it.  Their leaders put a lot of time and effort into planning and making this happen.  Every girl finished and did very well! In our church children from 18 month through 11 years of age attend Primary.  For girls 8-11 they attend Activity Days twice a month.  I love that the gospel of Jesus Christ provides these girls with activities to build them as daughters of God and bring them closer to their Father in Heaven.

Our Conference Weekend

{I dearly love Conference!}

We had such a wonderful weekend.  I love that all day Saturday feels like a Sunday.  I love that we are all together learning and being inspired.  We had decided to make it a tradition and CAN either Meat or Beans every Conference to keep up on our food storage.  Plus I love Jeremy's help!

The talks this conference had everything I needed.  They covered so many things I needed to hear.  I have re-listened to many already.  It is too hard to choose any favorites this time.  But HERE and HERE are ones that I've listened to again and just LOVE!  Plus I love THIS one too!  Too many to choose.  So go HERE and pick for yourself!  There is something for everyone.

Ok, here we go

I am go grateful for the Gospel of Jesus Christ in my life and my family's life.  It helps us to be better & become who we were sent her to become.  I love that we are able to listen to the Prophet of God and the Apostles every 6 months!  Every time I listen, I feel the Lord's love for me.

Blessings

{Blessings}
I just love this quote! I made this for a sister in our ward who is going to be baptized. She is such a sweet lady. To see her embrace the gospel brings me such joy. The trials she is going through in her life will be easier to handle as she is embracing the gospel of Jesus Christ. The church came out with a short video I saw on You-Tube about Jeffery Holland as a young husband. Click Here to watch. It will brighten your day. I love the gospel and the hope it give us in this world.

Fun Family Weekend

Last weekend was such a special time. Loralie's baptism and Graham's blessing was wonderful! We had so many friends and family members there. Loralie was just glowing with excitement and the spirit. She looked beautiful in her white dress. We all had such a great time. I love occasions where the spirit is strong and Jeremy is able to use the priesthood to bless our little family. It is still hard to believe that two of our kids are baptized! Time is flying by. I have had so much fun making Loralie a baptism book for all her memories of her special day. It was such an exciting time for our family!

35 Weeks

It is really hard to believe that this pregnancy is almost over. In some ways it has gone by fast and other not so much. But this is our last baby and it seems kind of crazy. But we feel our family is complete. I am looking forward to all the upcoming stages in life with the kids. I thought I would be really sad to know we were complete. But I guess that I don't means we really are. I am so excited to meet this sweet spirit coming to our home. All my children are so unique. I loved all the conference talks about teaching our children in the home. It gave me the hope that we can raise righteous children in these crazy last days. Some days I want to completely pull my hair out, but it is all worth it. And listening to conference gave me the reassurance that the path I am on is the right one despite what the world says. Being blesses with children is a miracle in itself. I have 5 weeks to go and Jeremy is really praying that his mother will be here to see the baby. I know in my heart even if she is not here she will still be blessed to see that grandchild. The temple dedication is around the corner. So many things we want to share with her. But we both know it is in the Lords hands. So on one hand I am ready for the baby to come. But then it will probably mean we have lost Linda. But I think the birth of a baby will help heal our hearts. Something so sweet coming right from our Father in Heaven.

This is a picture taken at night by one of my cousins. I took it from his facebook! Thanks Dusty for sharing! I love to see the Temple. I can't wait to take our children through it for the open house. We are so blessed to live 5 minutes away. The kids have really enjoyed watching it be built. An experience we will probably never have again.
