Deep Conversation

Picture Savanna and I sitting in the rocking chair at 9:30 at night. This is how the conversation goes.

Savanna, "Ok, mom, listen. When I am a mom and your my baby, and daddy and Carlee and Loralie and Hunter and Fisher are my babies, I am going to CHEW BUBBLE GUM and clean and cook and make dinner."

Mom, "Are you going to play with me in the floor with toys?"

Savanna, "Yes mom."

Mom, "Are you going to yell at me?"

Savanna, "NO, mom."

Mom, "Ok, that sounds fun."

Savanna, "I am going to CHEW BUBBLE GUM."

Now this whole bubble gum thing is not because I chew bubble gum, it is because I DESPISE it! I won't let it in my house. It is gross and sticky and yucky! So therefore all my kids want to know the age they are allowed to chew it. My answer, 21. So, they are all looking forward to being 21. Until then, we are staying gum free!

I do think it is funny how Savanna sees adulthood when she grows up. I will have to break it to her she will be getting her own kids. We won't be hers. All she talks about is being a mom and her kids. She loves to play dolls. She is such a sweet little girl. And I mean literally little!

A Dolly

This is a dolly I made for Savanna for Christmas this year. I also made a pillow and blanket for her doll. She is a total doll girl. We bought her a little stroller for the doll. This was a super fun project. The lips are a really light pink. Kind of hard to see in the photo.
Can't wait to her sweet face on Christmas morning! I love being a mommy. Especially to girly girls!

Cookie Making

This was a special time for me. The kids loved every moment of it. I had such a happy childhood and to see them doing what I always did was a special moment in my mothering.
Love Traditions!!

Trimming the Tree

We had so much fun this year. It took us two days to get the tree together and decorated, but it turned out great! Miss Carlee put the whole tree together. I think she did a fantastic job! While we docorated we also ate candy canes.
The kids love that part!
I love this time of year!
Happy times.

Happiness

Humbled

Today my heart is truly humble. I heard so many wonderful testimonies yesterday that really softened my heart. Then I clicked on one of my favorite blogs NieNie Dialogues and read her whole story written in the Arizona Republic and pretty much feel to pieces. I have so much to be grateful for. So often I forget and only dwell on what I don't have, or how I am mistreated. Yesterday in the RS lesson it was the message from President Eyring. He talked about how we can only be forgiven if we forgive. I have heard that many time in my life. But yesterday for the first time I realized two things. I have probably given more hurt than I have ever received, and also why would I be allowed to enter Heavenly Father's kingdom with grudges held in my heart. It would not truly be heaven if that was the case. I am grateful the spirit spoke to my heart yesterday. I am so grateful for the gospel of Jesus Christ and how blessed my life really is.

What a week!!

I am so glad today is Friday! This week has been so busy. Today is my day to do NOTHING! Ok, I am doing laundry, but only because we are running out of underwear!
Yesterday was my OB appointment. It is always so nice to hear the heartbeat. Next month I will get a sonogram done. And we are NOT finding out the sex of the baby. I am excited for a surprise.
I also went VT yesterday and one of the sister I see has the cutest online boutique. Her stuff is REALLY affordable. You've got to check it out. She does some really cute things. Tons of stuff! I bought the headbands and hats and I make my own flower clips to go with them. You will love it! Having daughters is sooo much fun! Plus some cute baby boy pants. Fisher looks so cute!

Check it out and let me know what you think!
