Counsel from a Wise & Loving Husband

So, lately I have been having quit the pity party with myself.  I have been sick on and off for 2 weeks, all the family has been sick, My wonderful friend moved which was a hard change for me, so I have been feeling pretty sorry for myself.  So my poor husband has had to listen to all my woes very patiently might I add.  Well, last night I was entertaining again at my pity party and I was complaining cause one of my friends is having a hard time with some depression and how she isn't really up for much.  He looks at me with his sweet kind face and says, "Maybe SHE needs YOU to be HER friend instead."  Well, that completely slapped me in the face!  How could I be so blind and selfish??  I love how the Lord loves us enough to give us a loving companion to help us along our journey in this life.  Jeremy has always been my best friend.  And these days, I couldn't do what has to been done without his love and support.  I love that he loves me enough to listen to me, and loves me enough to encourage me.  He takes the time to be my {best friend}.

Could I Have a More Handsome Hubcap??

I realized the other day that I very seldom blog about my dear husband.  He is so much a part of my life, but I tend to blog about myself or my sweet children.  Well, today is all about my hubcap!  He is what makes me tick and keeps me centered.  There is no way I could do all I do without his love and support.  He makes me laugh when I am too serious, and reminds me what is really important when I get too stressed out.  Our personalities compliment each other.  Where I am weak, he is strong.  I love how he plans weekend activities that would otherwise overwhelm and stress me out.  He makes things fun, and keeps our family in safe paths. He is a great example of our Saviors love.  He is compassionate and kind and I love that he honors his Priesthood. What a blessing he has been in my life.  I love him dearly and am so lucky he took a chance and knocked on my door 11 years ago!

I love you Jeremy.

A Time Out

Jeremy and I decided we needed a time out.  So we farmed out all the kids but Graham, had Friday night to ourselves, and went up Graham Mountain Saturday for the day.  It was the best weekend ever!  We got some of our favorite food to take, and just relaxed.  I took tons of pictures.  I had had a crazy couple weeks and needed to relax and clear my head.  How grateful I am for a beautiful mountain so close to enjoy!  This trip was a reminder to me how much I love Jeremy and the fun we have together.  Once you get so many kids in the mix it is easy to forget such things and get wrapped up in all the needs of the children.  We decided we will have to do this at least every 3 months!

Happy Anniversary Jeremy!

This day 10 years ago Jeremy and I were married in the Mesa Arizona Temple. What a special day it was. If you can believe it, while we were taking our pictures outside before the wedding we were sweating it was so hot! It is hard to remember most of it due to all the excitement. But one thing I will never forget was right before we were to leave my aunts house and go to the temple Jeremy come up to me and he had eaten oreos for breakfast and his teeth were full of cookies. Now I laugh, then I cried! He was so easy going, me, I was a stress case. Two opposites came together that day. And after 10 years, we have learned to love those things about each other. At first we both wanted to change them. Now we realize they help compliment each other.

{In 10 years we have accomplished a lot together}

Jeremy completed his Bachelors Degree

Moved 4 times

Was offered a great job

We bought and old home and fixed it up

Were lucky enough to sell that home and build a new home

Blessed with 5 healthy sweet children in our home, with number 6 on the way!

Learned a ton through the many trials of life, which will only

help prepare us for the many more to come

No gray hair yet!!

Looking forward to the next 10 years!

Even though life has been hard it has been worth it. I don't think we would be the same people if we hadn't had the trials in our lives. We look at things differently and are better able to help other and have compassion. I am so grateful for eternal families, and the knowledge that all this work will not be for nothing. We will end up together with our families and our Heavenly Father if we continue to endure things faithfully. I thought I loved Jeremy 10 years ago, but I had no idea what love really was. Love has a whole new meaning for me now.

I love you Jeremy!

Happy Anniversary Sweetie!

10th Wedding Anniversary Trip

We Made It to 10 Years!!

Well almost anyway. Our anniversary is Nov. 11th. We decided to take our trip in October because of our schedule. We had such a good time.

We decided to take 3 days and go to Mesa and relax. I really wasn't feeling up to traveling much.

When we first got there we went to the temple. It was so nice to be there together without feeling like we had to hurry back to the kids. We even ate in the temple. I LOVE the temple food!

Then for the next few days we kind of did whatever we wanted. We really didn't have a plan except for a Suns Game. And that was a REAL TREAT! I have never been to a basketball game before. We got tickets from a law firm that works with Jeremy. They have a Suite. It was so nice, and the view was perfect. They had lots of food and drinks. It was fun to enjoy something like that with Jeremy without all the interruptions. It was almost like we were dating again! I really enjoyed the game much more than I thought I would.

We had a great time eating at fun places, walking the mall, and shopping at other fun stores we don't usually get to with all the kids.

Best part was Jeremy took me to a Salon and had my hair cut and styled. I LOVE the cut!

I decided we shouldn't wait 10 more years to get away again!
